Delhi dur nahi hai- FRIED MOMOS!

Image
I am a big fan of momos. Some of you might be contemplating, that what is a momo, its a manipur dish , refined flour dumpings stuffed with chicken/lamb/mutton/pork/beef mince, and then steamed. They serve a chilli based sauce with it, dt is hotvlike hell. I usually give it my own touch by adding a pinch of pepper and tomato ketchup to it , on flame. I get these in my city, nagpur as well, but the Delhi taste, ohh my, Nagpur can't compete that , actually the consistency of momos here is sticky and thin and are made with wheat flour which I don't like , and to hate it more they add a bizzare sweet chutney to it. But, the manipuri people who make momos in delhi god bless them^_^ These momos are far better than what i get in nagpur :/ Taste, texture, consistency a humongous difference. Whenever, my brother or my mausi(aunt) visit ngp , its obligatory for them to bring some momos for me ....  I never get bored of them. I wish i could get these in my city as well. And the...

UPSET WITH DOMINOS.

Image
This is a tribute to the pasta served in Dominos(nagpur) ...............which is no more now. I mourned , when I got to know that the Dominos in India has stopped serving pasta white and red. Whenever, I used to order pizza, I had white pasta all the time. I am really upset with their decision of taking this dish down the menu. What's the problem....?! I need an answer Dominos, India. Of course, the pasta was not lowering the sales , people loved it. Many , of you might consent to this, that the pasta dish was way better than "some" of the dishes served there, except the pizza's.....................:/ I miss the white pasta, which was served in white flour and butter based sauce with cheese, julienne sliced onions and green bell peppers for the crunch, small chicken cubes and black olives, with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese on it. I used to have it with some oregano, and felt serene in every bite I had. I carve for it, I can't have it..... :/ Bravo (y) Do...

REVIEW- NANKING Chinese Restaurant..!

Overwhelmed when I write a review cz it feels great to share my personal view to others  through a medium, and I feel lucky that I got the chance .  So, this one day  I went to NANKING , Sjti Complex, Residency Road, Sadar Bazar, Nagpur - 440001  , with my brother and cousin for dinner.I go there quite often cz it serves the best chinese food in town. The ambience is quite nice there. I like the interior resembles china a lilttle bit,the tables are simple wooden ones, they have these chinese zodiac sign paper mats, so whenever I go there I read about my zodian sign, I find that quite interesting. The plates and cutlery are moderate ones and the bowls in which they serve soup are authentic chinese ones, and I have never seen something like those in markets, if I could ,I would ave bought those. The washroom is compact ,but really clean and hygienic....... We ordered chicken spring rolls, chilly chicken, hot and sour chicken soup, kung pao prawns (hot hot chilli...

FOOD FOR SKIN

Image
This article isn't a review or information not a dish either.... Its a coffee scrub that's why the name food for skin, and this smells all divine. We think food is used only for eating. Absolutely wrong, in the 21st century food is used in fashion, art, display, everything. And this article is about using food for skin, which human beings are doing for centuries. As I have a sensitive type of skin, I only use home made scrubs, and its one of them,  For this caffeine scrub you'll need- 1.coffee 2.sugar 3. Baby oil/ olive oil 4.honey (optional) Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl, and store it in a glass jar as I have done(in the picture) This scrub rejuvenates one's sensitive skin and gives a smooth and soft texture. You can use this on daily basis before going for a bath, as it is a mild scrub, it'll not at all damage the pores of the skin. It's a face and overall body scrub. Before going for a bath massage with this scrub for 10 minutes, and let it d...

DISHES TASTED- THE BREAKFAST STORY!

Image
From now on, I am going to try to cover the dishes I eat in restaurants, in detail. Emphasising, the dishes tasted, initialising with this article. It was a sandwich day for me and my friends. The egg salad sandwich above, I had in the breakfast story Nagpur, yesterday..... with a cup of hot coffee as it was raining, and was cold outside. I loved this sandwich as it suited the weather of course, its a mayonnaise based sandwich, with lettuce, black olive lots of eggs whites and yolk, with a tomato chutney served on side, the tomato chutney doesn't compliment the creamy consistency of the sandwich at all. I ate that chutney with gloria's tomato cheese sandwich. You can't differ the tomato cheese grilled sandwich and the chicken curry sandwich by the looks, cz they serve hash browns with it, loaded with rosemary, and a mayonnaise sauce with it. Primarily, the tomato cheese grilled sandwich, glo didn't like it much, neither did me and chris cz , the sandwich d...

REVIEW- NESCAFE' ILLUSIONS

Image
Nescafe Illusions, LAD Apartments, N Ambazari Rd, Beside Natural Ice Creams, Opposite Dharampeth School, Dharampeth, Nagpur, Maharashtra 440010. This place started on august 5, 2012. Oh my, this place is cool, affordable, chilled out and a perfect place for the young crowd in the city.  When you enter the cafe, a strong smell of coffee hits you, I just love the smell. Its a compact, two floor small cafe'(as you can see in the picture). I prefer to sit, outside watching the vehicles pass by.The chairs and tables are average looking, and not that comfortable, but I can sit there in those chairs cz they serve cost worthy food to eat and coffee there .(y) But the couch inside is pretty comfortable. The ambience is nice , and because its affordable its crowded all days of the week. They serve fresh coffee, shakes, sandwiches, maggi, croissants, puffs , etc............veg, non-veg...!! Food served is not that fancy, but caters one's taste buds and pocket for sure. I go ther...

FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY AND STYLING!

Image
I get inspiration of food, from anywhere n everywhere I can. So I thought of writing about food photography and styling in this post cz its relevant to food... And everybody should know the minute details regarding food. The food presented in commercials , magazines, pamplets, cookbooks and menus aren't just a picture of food clicked by a mundane camera .... There is much more going on , behind the actual picture. Food photographers, stylists, art directors, prop stylists and assistants work hard to make the photograph of dishes presentable , working day and night to create impressive, attention grabbing pictures to attract the readers..... ! And its not an easy job. The process of food photography begins with the purchase of the food and ingredients. Only the most visually perfect foodstuffs are acceptable and multiple backup or test items are usually needed. The best-looking of the purchased items is selected and marked as the "hero"  i.e., the item that will be f...
